So my home page www.elykbryan.com has just been killed. There was not a lot of people going on it anyway, and it was getting old. So me and a friend collaborated for something new and fun. Its going to be called www.donkyink.com Should be pretty sweet. For a very long time i am sure it will be just a forum site with lots of video/photo stuff, and a chatting board for kids from church/backstage/hanover school division/anyone else on earth that hears about it. Should be interesting. Its not up yet though, probly a couple days yet.
Here's a rough draft of the logo were maybe using for the site.
Well this year's Lemoine Christmas gathering was yesterday in St. Annes Hall. This is my wifes french side of the family. And for some reason they always pick on me, and make me be the santa who comes blasting in from the back, singing, and joyful, and has to take all the little kids on my lap, and hand them their gifts to kids like Phillipa, and Guy le Douche. Anyway, i put the hot suit on, and they forgot the padding for the stomach so i couldnt do the pants up cause there so huge, so i ended up using a beer cooler and stuck it in my belly for effect. So then i came blasting out singing. This year i decided to make someone else embarassed, and told my wife and sister in law they had to sing a christmas carol, that was pretty funny. Everyone started singing, cause they were so embarrased i think lol. And then i called out all the kids names and handed them their gifts. One girl sat on my lap, and when i took her off she fell over and the gift went flying out into the floor and ya, i just destroyed her. All in all it was pretty good. Made a freind with a french musician who is selling me his banjo so i am pretty pumped on that. Well, twas a good gathering.
Pretty soon i believe i will be setting up a forum onto the www.yfcsteinbach.ca site, and i will link it off of my own site and this blogspot as well. Just a place for the volunteers here, staff, and anyone else involved in YFC can come and chat with the kids and staff/volunteers.
For those of you who dont read Rays blog, here is a link to an amazing pastors dream and testimony.
Every Pastors Nightmare
Me and my bro kallen hiebert went to shoot some photography just the other day, before he left for australia. He had just bought a Nikon d40. So we ripped out just outside of steinbach, and were shootin and stuff. And we went under this bridge, and as i am walking along i step in through this grass, and proceed to fall into this river running under this bridge lol. To say the least, i looked pretty rediculous, sputtering strange sentences, to veer from bad words, and jumping around trying not to let my camera fall in the water. All in all it was a good shoot, besides my right shoe reaking of something nasty...
Christ the Wisdom and Power of God
1 Corinthians 1:18-30
18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written:
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."[a]
20Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
26Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27But God chose the foolish things (preaching Christ message, or poor people) of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28And God also selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is lowborn and insignificant and branded and treated with contempt (hated), even the things that are nothing, that He might depose (lay down) and bring to nothing the things that are, 29so that no one may boast before him. 30It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."[b][a] Isaiah 29:14
[b] Jeremiah 9:24
When you feel that your doing nothing for Christ, or mocked, teased, lonely, loserish, hated, God SPECIFICALLY chose those times to bring you up, and have you cling on to him, cause that stuff means NOTHING in this world. And when you preach to someone Christ Sacrifice and his love for us, God is pleased, for it is better to speak something foolish in someones eyes(Christs Sacrifice), than to be like aforementioned in the verse above "22Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength."
So this last weekend consisted of good suppers and Guitar Hero 3. My wife and I, and her family, and Bryce, went to Fargo for the weekend, and shopped and whatnot, the ladies spent some money, while me and bryce left the malls in search of something more. We stumbled upon a Best Buy, in which we found 3 stations of Guitar hero 3, and the drumming one as well. All in all we sat in Best Buy every day, for a total of almost 4 hours, usually in 1 and a half hour increments. I am sure there were some angry people opposed to us taking so much time up, but what can i say, i really enjoyed that game. And i did support Best Buy by buying a 2gb flash drive for $19. I know i could have got it cheaper but, meh, i like it. I am leaving this coming weekend to go on a Leadershaping Program for Youth for Christ. It should help me learn a little more about Evangelism, and working with teens in this day an age. Should be a fun time. Hoping to get some good photos out there if its not too cold. I love Ray Comfort.
Well it seems as though every weekend has just been a blast the last couple weeks. This weekend we went on our leadership cell leaders retreat, at Bird River Bible Camp. It was so freakin amazing, lots of mad worship, and amazing vision talk for the year coming up. It was an awesome time of relaxing and just getting into the spirit of god, i definately had a blast. When we werent in the chapel, me and kevin broesky and devin klassen were found up on the 40' rock climb, that was so stinkin fun, we did some crazy climbs, and found a cave, in which we went in, that was pretty sweet. We also found a waterfall on a hike, and had some really good sessions on the mini-ramp they had there. Unfortunately us marrieds were seperated from our wives for the nite, and had to sleep in seperate cabins, which made it a gong show. All in all it was a very good, and needed weekend away.
This is the sign!
This is the Medhouse!
This is the rock which faced on pretty much every side we could climb, it was so awesome! The cave was just right of the people up on the top there on the right. And the normal climbing wall, where people used ropes was down there where the people at the bottom are, and then straight up from there.
This is kevin, and devin walking to our cabin!

this is sarah M, sad that we are leaving, some people stayed till wednesday!, and we should have, but duty calls!
And this is the womans cabin, called beaver lodge!

I found out crunk means "get pumped up". Just thought i would start off with that, cause i have had some crazy stuff happen here at work lately, i took my wifes wig, and we had some ridiculous, gross times with that, then today, i took a pie, and me and ryan, asked if any kids would donate a face for the pie, if we gave them some treats, sure enough matt frat decides to participate, and it was the most satisfying feeling i have ever had!
Oh and it was ruebens birthday, so we got him a cake. He turned 24.

So Satisfying!

Well this last weekend we took our cell group out to birds hill park from fri-sun. We pretty much had a freakin blast it was awesome. Sat. morn we took off to kenora for some riding in the sk8park, and some hiking in the hills, and gitch swimming in the river by the norman dam. So sat. at the skatepark we met up with some oldies, ex. phil & eric from winkler, and jesse and ben kauffman from kenora, ben was riping it pretty sickly, whips to picks out of the bowl and all sorts of goodies. We had a pretty good time.

So we had an awesomosis time. enjoi the fotos.
I specifically said trippin cause, last week i got back from a road trip, and most of the encounters we had on this trip, consisting of: me, Benji Goertsen and Kevin Broesky, were quite strange, and we had some crazy stories: from sleeping on rocks in the middle of an unknown town, to being searched out by police for a B & E. To say the least it was quite an interesting trip!
This was the first stop we made, some old abandoned gas station, looked pretty cool, good place to stop on our straight-through 15 hour drive to Okotoks, Calgary. Meh!
This was the first thing we saw when we finally got into the place we were staying, about a 30 minute drive from okotoks, which is where matt & katie's wedding was located. The father of this house told us his place was a cult place, cause he had about 20 of these heads hangin everywhere, but he was jk'ing.
This is outside where we were staying, me and benji having a moment here, please forgive us!
The people that let us sleep in there barn were freakin amazing! Cody's mother(cody is the guy below, we stayed at his house) made us some eggs that were killer, in the morning since we didnt bring much food, just some apples, pop tarts & some burnt muffins. So that was awesome. After we awoke at 1:30 in the afternoon, cause we had driven from 10pm the night before until 8am i think the next day, so we had been up for like over 30 hours or something crazy like that. Then we went to millenium to ride a little, there we found that the place was much smaller than we last remember it, and the tranny was brutal so we went street riding, and found some freaking amazing ledges to manual down, and ended up talking to some guy there named scott i think, he was all about the filming, and he had a little boy, talked with him till like eleven. Then went back to our place, but could not find it for the life of us, so after 5 hours of driving and trying to find our place, me and kev got fed up, and we all just went and slept in a school yard in between two buildings, on some pebble stone, which was much more confortable than one would think, benji had a nice sleeping bag, but me and kev just had one blanket each, lol, so that was brutal, but it was surprisingly a good sleep.
The next day, i cant really remember i think we just waited and bummed around calgary, went to a skateshop and all that jazz, until the wedding. Then we went to the wedding, and that was cool, free food and drink and dessert, that was awesome. Especially since me and kev didnt know anyone there from adam. And ben only knew matt and katie pretty much, so these people were so freakin generous, it was pretty rad.
Here we are playing a little, enormous billiard. For some reason they had this huge pool table, that you couldnt even reach across, and ya, it was pretty hard to play, it took so so so long to play a game i dont think we even finished one!
And on the way home, we all got a little restless, and out of hand. But all in all it was a fantastic trip, it was good to go on one of these trips again with da boys!. Peace out all! enjoi
